CV Boots, CV Joints and Drive Shafts
Most cars today use CV axles to turn the drive wheels. The CV axle joins the wheel hub to the transmission, and translates motive power from the transmission to the wheel, powering the vehicle on the road. As you might expect, CV axles and their various components are subject to an immense amount of heat, stress, friction and wear and tear. Over time, they’ll begin to deteriorate. The most common type of damage is to the CV boot, which covers the CV joint and is responsible for holding in high-temp grease to lubricate the joint. CV boots are made from rubberised material, but they will eventually dry and crack. Once cracked, grease begins to leak out. Even a small crack should be handled quickly, but major damage (a completely blown CV boot, for instance), must be replaced immediately. Once the boot is blown, dirt, debris and dust can contaminate the grease, leading quickly to CV joint failure. At Quickco, we source OEM CV boots, CV joints and even entire CV axles designed to fit your specific make and model. Like all of our auto parts, these are sourced from OEMs, OEM and Aftermarket suppliers, ensuring a perfect fit and the durability that you deserve.
